Round 1: Write an essay telling us about your business

In this phase of the awards process, you will have an opportunity to tell us about your business. We will provide you with a structured essay template which you will complete and submit to us.

The essay will focus on four key areas of your business:

• You as an entrepreneur
• Business Planning
• Marketing
• Human Resources

For guidelines on your essay, please refer to the “Tips on how to write an essay” also included in this kit.

The judging committee will score the essay based on:

• How well each point is explained
• Business Practices
• Entrepreneurial Spirit

Round 2: Site Visit

When you qualify for round 2, a site visit will be conducted by a panel of judges at your place of business.

Round 3: Interview

Candidates will be selected based upon entry submissions and compliance of both round 1 and 2. If you qualify for the final entry round, you will be scheduled to come for an interview and meet the panel of judges.
